Good & economic

The restaurants recommended by the locals are cheap and not unpalatable. Fried rice and fried noodles are the most expensive at 21,000, but you need to wait a long time when there are more crowds.

Never been to a restaurant that looks so bad, but tastes so good. We ate here twice and didn't get sick even though the kitchen doesn't seem to be terribly hygienic. But the fish is SO good here. Juicy, perfectly grilled fish. Not overcooked like in many warungs. The sauces too are very tasty. I'd give five stars if it only looked a bit more appealing. You can choose your own fish from the catch of the day.

It could be an option if you want one that is not too expensive for backpackers or students, tastes pretty good, friendly prices

Warung is okay, standard Indonesian food good quality, but nothing special. It's recommended by lonely planet, but I don't know why. There are better and cheaper warungs in Senggigi.
